Hi, I want to take a moment to introduce myself and how 314 Beauty Haven blossomed into what it is today. 

 

I'm Kelsea Moyers, owner, and artistic director. I am goofy, outgoing, and passionate about building genuine connections. I was raised in a small rural town in Southeast Missouri, where I was the oldest of three girls. Surrounded by many women in my family and community, I was able to see the resilience and beauty a woman can possess, and the impact they make. 

 

I have fond memories of my grandma letting me turn her kitchen into my own hair salon, where I would whip up products and persuade her into letting me try all the hair and makeup trends. She rarely said no and let me tell you we still laugh about it.

I always knew I wanted to make a difference in the world, but I wasn't sure what that would entail. I tried college, got a degree but I still wasn't happy. Something was missing, until I joined the cosmetology program at Paul Mitchell in Springfield, Missouri. And that was when my life changed.

 

For once I finally felt like I belonged. I graduated in 2015 and immediately went into business for myself. I wanted the creative freedom and the space to be able to create the life I always dreamed of. A place for all women to feel safe, heard, understood and beautiful. 314 Beauty Haven has been nothing short of that. I am grateful for all the opportunities it has provided including being able to travel globally for weddings, asked to do hair for New York fashion week, been published in over 10 magazines, multiple awards, and some of the best clients!!

 

I believe that everyone has the power to spread beauty in this world, and I've made it my life's mission to make that happen. As a single, independent mother of two daughters, I understand how important it is to find time for yourself. We often tend to put ourselves last while caring for others, but we need pampering too.
